PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) - Jury selection began on Monday in the case of a Plattsburgh man charged with murder.

New York State Police say 61-year-old Timothy Timmons shot and killed 40-year-old Jahfari Joseph of Plattsburgh at a home in Peru back in December of 2024, and say they have video evidence of it.

Timmons has pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder charge.

Jury selection will continue tomorrow and is expected to last two weeks.
