HINESBURG, Vt. (WCAX) - Charges have been filed against the man police say is responsible for the fatal crash that happened in Hinesburg on Saturday night.

Vermont state police say 24-year-old Logan Cody of Shelburne was driving down Silver Street on the wrong side of the road.

Police say he crashed into a car driven by 63-year-old Lauren Morrill of North Ferrisburgh. She died at the scene.

Cody was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On Monday night, police said Cody has been charged with gross negligent operation-death resulting.

The crash is still under investigation, and police say more charges could come.
