Lompoc junior golfer Kaydence Fredrich and Valley Christian Academy senior football player Edwin Monge are the Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table (NSBCART) Athletes of the Week for the week ending Oct. 5.

The NSBCART honored the two at its weekly luncheon at Giavanni's Pizza in Orcutt Monday. Fredrich is the NSBCART Female Athlete of the Week. Monge is the NSBCART Male Athlete of the Week.

Fredrich was the medalist with an 85 over 18 holes at Sunset League Mini Tournament No. 3 at the Mission Club course in Lompoc Monday. The Braves are in second place in the league, a point behind leader Atascadero.

Monge scored three touchdowns in a variety of ways Saturday night.

He began by returning the opening kickoff 75 yards for a score. He rushed from scrimmage for one touchdow
