RUSTON, La. (KNOE) - The Ruston Board of Alderman unanimously approved donating land for a $370 Million dollar microchip facility.

The land was donated to Bulldog Microchips, which is a collaboration between Radiance Technologies and Louisiana Tech.

The site is across from the Ruston Regional Specialty Hospital.

Once completed, the 40,000 square foot facility is expected to add 150 direct jobs as well as an additional 146 indirect jobs, according to Louisiana Economic Development. It will also offer new internship opportunities for Louisiana Tech students.

According to the University, construction is expected to start next year and open in the summer of 2027.
