LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Innovation Campus is celebrating it’s 10 year anniversary this month, with a new addition aimed at boosting local invention.
Back in October 2015, the campus opening brought with it the UNL Makerspace, featuring a wood shop, vinyl cutter, a laser, screen printing and ceramic and textile areas. That space would eventually become known as the Nebraska Innovation Studio, expanding on many of those tools and workspaces with millions of dollars in private and public grants, particularly for robotics.
At an open house on Monday, the newest addition was unveiled in the form of the Frontier Tech Lab , a service center for companies, inventors or anyone with a good idea looking to make a 0 to 1 prototype.
