(KRON) — The victim of an Oakland shooting that happened on the 1300 block of Lakeshore Avenue on Sept. 27, died on Oct. 3, the Oakland Police Department announced Monday.

When officers arrived at the shooting on Sept. 27, they were informed that the victim was taken to the hospital and was in grave condition. The victim died at the hospital more than a week later.

Officers are now investigating the case as a homicide. No suspects have been named in the case.

Evidence was found in the shooting, police say. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact police.

Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity from the public at this time.
