BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A woman was brutally attacked while sleeping inside her Bushwick home early Monday morning, according to the NYPD.

Police said it happened near Pilling Street and Evergreen Avenue around 3:40 a.m. A man broke into the home through an open window in the kitchen, sources told PIX11 News.

Police said the suspect then approached the 43-year-old victim, allegedly placing a pillow over her head. She fought back, according to authorities.

Police said the man is accused of tying up her wrists, making sexual advances and performing a lewd act. He allegedly stole the victim’s cellphone and watch from her bedroom before running from the home, according to authorities.
