The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the death of singer Zubeen Garg has discovered a financial transaction of Rs 1 crore in the bank accounts of two of his personal security officers.
A source involved in the probe was quoted by The Times of India as saying, “The financial transaction is examined thoroughly.”
The discovery comes as one of the eight individuals who were on the yacht in Singapore when Garg passed away has contacted the Assam Police to cooperate with the investigation.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state government has requested the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax department to look into the financial angle in the Zubeen Garg death case.
“I hope the central agencies will take cognisance of it," Sarma was quoted as saying
