ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The trial starts today for a man accused of setting a fire back in 2004 that killed a little girl.

Timothy Kuhn will be in court on Tuesday morning. He is facing charges of second-degree murder and first-degree arson. He was accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a home on Yates Street nearly 20 years ago.

On February 8, 2004, neighbors heard a loud noise and saw flames at the home. Multiple children and a babysitter were in the home, including 8-year-old Savannah Streber. Officers said the babysitter got most of the kids out except Savannah — her body was found in her mother's bedroom.

Investigators identified Kuhn as a suspect in the fire, saying he had a volatile relationship with Savannah's mother and that a no-contact protection order was issued against
