ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A 20-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested for carrying illegal weapons after a shots-fired call on Weld Street, which damaged a car.

On Sunday night, around 8 p.m., RPD received a report of gunfire on Weld Street. They said they found evidence of shots fired and a 2012 Audi that had been hit.

One hour later, officers found the suspects on Kenilworth Terrace and tried to stop them. A 17-year-old was detained, but 20-year-old Jahmir McMorris allegedly ran but was quickly arrested.

Investigators said the 17-year-old had a loaded ghost gun in his waistband, and McMorris threw away a loaded handgun. It was alleged that McMorris was responsible for firing the gunshots.

McMorris and the teen were charged with second and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
