Prithvi Shaw slammed a hundred for his new team Maharashtra against his former unit Mumbai on Tuesday in a Ranji Trophy warmup fixture between the two sides. Shaw got to his century in 140 deliveries and put on a 305-run partnership with Arshin Kulkarni. He was, however, snapped up at 181 runs but had a heated exchange with his ex-teammates before walking off.
The incident happened when Shaw attempted a slog sweep off Musheer Khan but was caught at deep fine leg. After that, visuals showed the 25-year-old getting involved in an altercation with Mumbai players before the situation was defused by the umpire and the batter walked away.
Shaw, who moved from Mumbai to Maharashtra a couple of months back, had signalled his intent with the new franchise when he blitzed 111 runs against Chhatt
