The renaming and rebranding of the former Birmingham Water Works Board took another step Tuesday with the selection of a new logo that will adorn everything from business cards and social media to office buildings and water towers throughout the Birmingham region.
Board members of Central Alabama Water Monday evening approved a new logo that will replace the old markings of Alabama’s largest water utility formerly known as the Birmingham Water Works Board.
“I really like it. It makes a strong statement to who we are,” board member Phillip Wiedmeyer said Monday evening.
A complete rollout of the new brand is expected to take up to two years, with some items such as social media taking place immediately, said John Matson, the utility’s spokesman.
