An Alabama man who called 911 to report that his wife was unresponsive in their bathroom is now behind bars, charged with murder .

Herman Glaude, 41, was arrested on Sept. 24 by the Mobile Police Department, which said in a press release that a homicide investigation into the death of his wife, 52-year-old Jennifer Glaude, determined that he was responsible.

According to 911 transcripts obtained by local Fox affiliate WALA, Jennifer Glaude was hospitalized on Aug. 14 after her husband called 911 to report that she was "injured" and unresponsive, telling dispatchers, "It's like she's snoring with her eyes open."

Two days later, Jennifer Glaude was dead.
