At least 20 college football players have been suspended following a post-game brawl that broke out during Fort Valley State University’s (FVSU) homecoming weekend.
The fight occurred shortly after the FVSU Wildcats lost 18-14 Saturday to Central State University of Ohio.
Videos of the altercation quickly spread across social media, showing players from both teams involved in the scuffle.
Why were players and coaches suspended after the game?
In response to the incident, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) issued disciplinary actions against both programs.
Along with suspending more than a dozen players, the SIAC also handed one-game suspensions to both head coaches and imposed financial penalties on each team.
