OXFORD — An Oxford man has been charged with multiple counts of credit card fraud after allegedly using a stolen account for more than $61,000 in unauthorized transactions.
The Oxford Police Department said a detective was contacted Oct. 2 by the Randolph, New Jersey, Police Department regarding a fraud case involving a suspect in Oxford.
Investigators learned that between May 28 and June 13, 2025, 14 transactions were made on the victim’s account without consent, totaling $61,035.
After reviewing security camera footage, authorities identified the suspect as Lawrence Hakim II, 29, of Oxford.
Hakim was taken into custody and charged with 14 counts of credit card fraud. He appeared before a municipal court judge for his initial bond hearing.
