Some are cast aside, left to fend for themselves without shelter or nourishment.

Anderson, a Cane Corso, faced this harsh reality when he was abandoned deep in Box Canyon near Mecca, California. For days, he wandered alone, nearing collapse until a couple stumbled upon him.

Left To Survive In The Wilderness

While camping in the canyon, Jason and Katie noticed a Cane Corso curled up near their site . They were stunned to see a dog without a leash or owner in such an isolated place.

Jason cautiously approached and offered water. The dog drank gratefully. Anderson was skeletal, barely able to lift his head or stand.
