MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man was charged after using his vehicle to hit an MPD squad car on Monday, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Just before 11:40 a.m., officers reported an aggravated assault at Emilio’s Grocery at 2757 Getwell Road.

Montavious Neal, 26, is charged with aggravated assault on a first responder, a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and two counts of having tinted windows.

An officer who performed a traffic stop on a black 2015 Dodge Charger with very dark-tinted windows and front windshield, at Emilios Grocery Store on 2757 Getwell Road.

The officer was in a marked MPD squad car.

The driver of the Dodge Charger pulled into the parking lot and then placed the vehicle in reverse and hit the officer’s vehicle, according to police.
