DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - The firm that helped Des Moines Schools hire its now former superintendent, who was arrested by ICE, says it will defend itself in court.

Des Moines School Board has filed a lawsuit against JG Consulting over the hiring of Ian Roberts as the Des Moines Superintendent in 2023. ICE arrested Roberts last month saying he was in the country illegally after overstaying a student visa. I CE has since released a long criminal history on Roberts and has charged him with being in possession of firearms as an undocumented alien. Roberts also allegedly falsified his academic record .
