(NewsNation) — A funeral service was held for Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the missing teen girl who was later found dead in the trunk of a car owned by a rising musician.

According to NewsNation local affiliate KTLA, family members gathered to mourn Rivas and lay her to rest on Monday at Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary in Rowland Heights, California, just one month after police discovered her body. The Tesla she was found in belonged to singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke.

Rivas Hernandez had been reported missing from her home in Lake Elsinore since April 2024 when she was 13.
