The death of a man at Arthur’s Seat earlier today is being treated by police as unexplained although there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
Emergency services were called to Holyrood Park at 2.35pm this afternoon, Tuesday, October 7 2025, following reports of a man having taken unwell.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the incident but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.35pm on Tuesday, 7 October, 2025, we received a report of a man taken unwell in the area of Arthurs Seat, Edinburgh.
