President Trump reflected on the recent stabbing and arrest of “nice guy” Mark Sanchez , speculating that “something a little crazy” must have happened between the former Jets quarterback and his truck driver victim.

“ I don’t know what happened ,” Trump said during a Monday appearance on “Greg Kelly Reports.”

“Something bad happened. Something a little crazy happened ,” he continued. “I can only report that he was a nice guy. I know him a little bit.”

Sanchez is facing a felony charge of battery involving serious bodily injury and three misdemeanors in connection with the altercation in Indianapolis on Saturday. He’d been in the area to serve as an analyst on Fox Sports’ broadcast of the Sunday matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders.
