Noteworthy: Jia opened last week’s play by capturing the individual championship at the Gary Christman Classic hosted by Ayala. She won the title by shooting a 1-under-par round of 71 at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills. Jia helped the Broncos win three Southwestern League matches later in the week. She shot a 34 (-2) against Temecula Valley and a 37 (+1) against Murrieta Valley. Jia capped the week with a 6-under round of 30 to lead Vista Murrieta to a 191-198 win over Great Oak. The win moved the Broncos into a tie for first place in the league standings.
