The Cerro Gordo Clean Energy District will host a community event titled “Soar Means Business” from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the North Iowa Regional Commerce Center, 9 N. Federal Ave., Mason City, according to a press release.

The free event will feature stories from local small business owners who have invested in solar energy, sharing their experiences with financing, installation and long-term savings.

While the event is designed with small business owners in mind, community leaders and the general public are encouraged to attend.

The program will provide practical information for anyone interested in learning more about solar energy’s role in strengthening the local economy, the press release states.
