A Minnesota man pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor as a Class B felony stemming from his interactions with a Winnebago County deputy posing as a 14-year-old on Facebook.
Brian Michael Bauer, 46, Nerstrand, Minnesota, will be sentenced on Nov. 18.
According to Winnebago County District Court documents, a plea agreement calls for related counts of grooming and phone dissemination of obscene material to a minor to be dismissed.
In February the deputy initiated an undercover case targeting online child exploitation, court documents state.
Bauer responded to the fake Facebook account, texted obscene photos and videos to the fictitious teen and propositioned them for sex despite knowing they were only 14, according to the documents.
