CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A 39-year-old Fairmont man has pleaded guilty Tuesday in a case where he was accused of causing a vehicle crash during a road rage incident, endangering the baby who was his passenger. The man was accused of then beating down the other driver.
Eric Brandon Thompson's actions seriously endangered both the baby, which was around a year old, and left the other driver with a fractured nose and other injuries, according to the investigator, Harrison Sheriff's Sgt. Brian Deem, as well as Assistant Prosecutor Andrea Roberts.
Harrison Circuit Judge Joseph F. Shaffer Jr. held off deciding whether to accept the pleas from Thompson to felony child neglect creating risk of death or serious injury, and felony malicious assault.
