DENVER (KDVR) -- The U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday that the FBI Denver Field Office made several arrests and seizures during a three-month summer operation targeting violent crime.

The arrests and seizures were made between June 24 and Sept. 20 during a nationwide effort by all 55 FBI field offices that was dubbed "Operation Summer Heat."

“Operation Summer Heat shows that surging resources with our state and local law enforcement partners, as well as our other federal partners, can have a significant impact on reducing crime," said Mark Michalek, special agent in charge of FBI Denver, in a statement.

A Colorado-based highlight during Operation Summer Heat included the FBI working with the Denver Police Department to locate a man wanted in a 2023 double homicide.
