LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson discussed the death of a 12-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle in a suspected DUI crash.

Cristofer Suarez died Monday. The crash happened Friday just before 8 a.m. near the intersection of Eastern and Owens avenues. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said Suarez had just taken a step off a curb when the driver of a white SUV hit him.

The suspect, 27-year-old Oh’Ryan Brooks, reportedly did not stop at the scene. According to an arrest report, he was tracked and located through his license plate number.
