Event features music, food, dancing, car show, wrestling

The Surprise Fiesta Grande, family-friendly event, is set for 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.

Happening during National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs through Oct. 15, the event celebrates the city’s culture, traditions, history, and community. Admission and parking are free.

Mexican music will be the highlight of the evenng as the South Phoenix Tejano group Louis S. & the Band will be headlining the city’s annual party. Performances will include The Reminisce Band, a six-piece cover band based out of Phoenix; 14-year-old Elijah Ezequiel, an accordionist also known as "The Arizona Squeezbox Kid," according to a city press release.
