A two-year-old boy was killed by two large dogs at a Georgia daycare after the toddler was left unattended as the owner took a nap.
Police officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to reports of a dog attack at a residence in Valdosta, Ga., on Saturday afternoon.
First responders arrived to find the deceased child, the Valdosta Police Department said in a news release .
Stacy Wheeler Cobb, 48, was running an allegedly unlicensed daycare at her home, according to investigators, who revealed that the boy’s mother had left him in Cobb’s care that day.
“For over two hours, the child was not attended to, as Cobb stated that she was taking a nap and thought the child was as well,” police said.
