LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Around the holidays is when most people think of giving back. But for families needing extra help, every day comes with its own challenges. A Louisville coffee shop owner is ensuring kids can have the perfect Halloween.
“It matches the vibe but then yet, it’s something that nobody would probably think of even in a space like mine,” said Mariah Tran, owner of Witches Brew Coffee on Frankfort Avenue.
At the start of September, Tran had the idea to give back in a way she’d not seen in town before. Soon after that thought, a board appeared next to where people order drinks. On it are pumpkins with a child’s name, the costume they’d like for Halloween, and their size.
