LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The WHAS11 Weather Impact Alert Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert Day for Tuesday due to heavy rainfall and flash flooding.

Between 2 to 5 inches of rain have fallen in Kentucky as heavy showers roll across the area. With more than 4 inches of rainfall at the Louisville International Airport, this is officially Louisville's third wettest October day on record.

Although heavy rainfall is beginning to move out of the Kentucky and Indiana viewing area Tuesday afternoon, wet roads and ponding may continue to pose an issue for drivers through the evening hours.
