LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville senior wide receiver Chris Bell was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Wide Receiver of the Week for the second consecutive week, following a career day against Virginia.
Bell caught 12 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns in the Cardinals' 30-27 overtime loss to the Cavaliers on Saturday. The performance marked his fourth career 100-yard receiving game and his second in as many weeks. His 170 yards were the most by a Louisville player since Dez Fitzpatrick had 182 at Boston College in 2020.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Bell now has nine career touchdown receptions. His scoring catches included a 15-yard and a 13-yard touchdown.
Louisville is off this week before traveling to face No. 2 Miami on Friday, Oct. 17, in Coral Gables, Fla.
