Bristol Rovers assistant head coach Rhys Carr detailed his pleasure at the '90-minute performance' that the Gas put on in their 1-0 win over Cheltenham Town on Tuesday evening.

The Gas were quick to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Walsall last weekend with a victory in the EFL Trophy, Luke Thomas bagging the only goal of the game. This sets them back to winning ways ahead of the visit of MK Dons to the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Creating the lion's share of the chances between the two sides, Darrell Clarke's men eventually broke the deadlock on the hour mark as Thomas tucked an arrow of a shot into the bottom left corner to secure the three points for the Pirate
