Children hospitalized for cancer and other serious illnesses have to put up with poking, prodding and tests. Days can be long and lonely.

Access to an iPad helps the time go by thanks to games, movies, chats with family and schoolwork. That's why the nonprofil Miracle Children's Foundation has made it their mission to distribute the handheld devices to hospitalized children, with help from celebrities and heroes who have the unique ability to brighten up a sick kid's day.

On Oct. 2, former LSU head football coach Ed Orgeron spent several hours at Manning Family Children's Hospital, giving out personal iPads, signing autographs, and posing for photos with young patients.
