MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred around 4:46 p.m. Monday on the city's south side.

A driver heading north on Rimrock Road toward U.S. Highway 12 reported hearing gunfire and later discovered that bullets had struck their vehicle, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Officers later found a suspected vehicle parked along Malibu Drive. Several people were detained, and a firearm and other items were recovered at the scene, according to police.

A 19-year-old was arrested for a probation violation, and a juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center.

The investigation remains ongoing.
