LOUISIANA, La. (KLFY)--Advocates across Louisiana are demanding transparency following the release of new video footage that suggests former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy was not involved in a fatal crash.
Organizations such as The Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus and Purposed for the People are among those who are calling for an independent review of the case.
The video, released by Lacy's attorney Matthew Ory, challenges the charges of negligent homicide that were brought against Lacy after the crash that resulted in the death of 78-year-old Herman Hall. Lacy was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Houston in April.
The founder of Purposed for the People, Celina Charles, said her organization is looking for transparency.
