ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A mural months in the making is finished in Downtown Altoona.
It was officially unveiled at a celebration Tuesday but the artist, Sarah Garber, said the community had been stopping by all summer to get some sneak peaks. Garber said it took her over 150 hours of work to complete.
Discover Blair County who organized the project said the art gives new life to the city's downtown area as it continues to be redeveloped.
"I think I've had my business down here for almost nine years, and to kind of have a front row seat to everything that's developed, it happened and now, you know, color and art being brought to our street is amazing," Garber said.
The mural is located on the corner of 11th Avenue and 15th in Downtown Altoona.
