MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The subject of a vehicle pursuit Tuesday crashed onto the campus of KIPP Memphis Collegiate High School, and the Memphis Safe Task Force is involved in the investigation.

This is according to a spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service and school officials.

Leaders with KIPP Memphis say the incident Tuesday morning was not related to the school, and no students or staff were injured.

USMS Public Affairs Officer Cameron Welch says one suspect is now in custody.

Welch also confirms that the Memphis Safe Task Force is involved in the investigation, but adds that the lead agency is the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Welch says the driver arrested in this case was not the target of an open investigation, but rather evaded state troopers while at a traffic stop for wear
