CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A popular nightclub in Uptown Charlotte has lost its license to sell alcohol after a string of deadly shootings tied to the club over the past few months.
The Mecklenburg Alcoholic Beverage Control Board said on Monday, Sept. 29, that the Brooklyn Nightclub and Lounge agreed to surrender its ABC permit to serve or sell alcohol voluntarily.
The Mecklenburg Alcoholic Beverage Control Board released the following statement:
“We were notified by the North Carolina ABC Commission’s legal department that the permittee, Brooklyn Lounge, agreed to voluntarily surrender its ABC permits effective September 29, 2025.”
