PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland law enforcement leaders issued statements Tuesday afternoon recapping their meeting with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem during her visit to the ICE facility in the South Waterfront earlier in the day. Portland Police Chief Bob Day, Multnomah County Sheriff Nicole Morrisey O'Donnell and Oregon State Police Superintendent Casey Codding all joined Noem at the building.

An OSP spokesperson confirmed Codding was in attendance and described the meeting as "a high-level law enforcement conversation, and the Superintendent's presence was in support of our local partnerships." The Portland Police Bureau and the sheriff both issued statements confirming the meeting happened, but neither statement directly addressed the content of the meeting.
