TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - STAR Village, Tucson’s first outdoor safe sleeping site for homeless people, is set to open next week.
It hopes to provide transitional housing to individuals experiencing homelessness. It will serve as a bridge between street living and permanent affordable housing.
The city of Tucson and the Primavera Foundation posted an informational sheet addressing concerns from community members about the village opening in their neighborhood. The document outlines safety measures and site functions ahead of its opening.
