A controversial project in Bessemer is one step closer to becoming finalized.
Last month, the zoning board approved a recommendation to rezone a data center project as a “light industrial.”
The city council will vote on the massive data center project on November 18. Some residents were happy to finally hear there’s a date set for the fate of the project after being drawn out for so long, while others still have major concerns. The city doubled down on supporting the project and said it has potential for long-term growth.
