Attorney General Pam Bondi defended herself at a congressional hearing against Democratic criticism she weaponized the Justice Department.
Bondi faces questions over political pressure on the agency to pursue President Donald Trump’s perceived foes.
Democrats also grilled Bondi about the relationship between President Trump and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the committee’s top Democrat, asked Bondi who gave orders within the department to flag any records relating Trump and Epstein.
“I’m not going to discuss anything about that with you, Senator,” Bondi replied.
