One person is in hospital with multiple burns after his house was engulfed in flames south of Brisbane .
Emergency services were called out to the house on Edward St in Woodridge about 12.50pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics treated a man for burns to his arms, chest, neck and face.
He was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control about 1.30pm.
Neighbour Gabrielle Oltarczi said they rushed to the home after hearing calls for help.
“First we heard some fire alarms go off, then people screaming and yelling fire,” she told 7NEWS .
“We got concerned when we saw the smoke and ran down to see if there was anyone needing help.”
