A motion filed by Gregory Moore’s attorney, Jon Paul Rion of Rion & Rion, L.P.A., Inc. in Dayton, asking for the DNA found on a watch and wristband at the crime scene of the death of Aliza Sherman to undergo an additional, independent test was granted by judge Kira Krivosh on Sept. 25.
An additional motion was passed on Oct. 1, one filed on Sept. 9 by Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley, who moved for an extension of the discovery deadline from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, with the possibility of a further extension if needed.
Both motions were granted unopposed.
The discovery deadline for both the prosecution and defense was extended to October and the court recognized a motion for further DNA testing during Moore’s pretrial hearing on Aug. 14 in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Th
