Two people were killed in a Michoud shooting early Wednesday morning, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Officers were called to the New Orleans East neighborhood at 7:30 a.m. and found a man and woman wounded in the 14700 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Paramedics pronounced the victims dead on scene.

Police did not immediately release more information.
