Peter Kay has opened up about the terrifying moment he realised he needed emergency surgery after being struck by intense kidney stones , an ordeal he described as feeling like his "world collapsed". ‌

The beloved Bolton-born comedian recounted the painful experience during a train journey from London to Wigan, explaining that what began as a stomach ache quickly escalated into one of the most excruciating experience of his life. ‌

The 52-year-old comedian said that his symptoms started on Friday and by the Sunday his lower right back was "throbbing," leading him to seek medical advice. ‌
