A local brewery is closing its doors, but its beer will still be available in stores, bars and restaurants.

Columbia Craft Brewing Company announced the closing of its taproom Monday via a social media post . The post included the following message.

"Like many independent breweries across the country, we’ve faced challenges in an evolving market—rising costs, shifting consumer habits, and increased competition. While the decision to close our taproom doors effective immediately wasn’t easy, we’re proud of the years we spent building community here in Columbia and grateful for everyone who supported us along the way.

Columbia Craft beer isn’t going anywhere—you’ll still find us on shelves and taps throughout South Carolina."
