LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (WBTV) - A hospital in South Carolina was deemed “safe” after it received active shooter threats Tuesday.
The threat was called into McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River -- which is about 30 minutes outside Myrtle Beach -- during the morning of Oct. 7.
Horry County they conducted all necessary safety checks and found “no indication of a real and present threat.” The hospital was put on lockdown while officers did a sweep of the facility.
In a statement to sister-station , McLeod said its Seacoast hospital resumed normal operations by 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.
