About two years after emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy , Starry is getting acquired by Verizon Communications Inc. in a deal expected to close next year.

Once a publicly traded company , the Boston-based wireless broadband provider specializes in multi-dwelling units as customers, a market Verizon wants to expand. The companies did not disclose the price of the deal Wednesday.
